Chandreyee Maitra is a scientist in the high energy group of the Max Planck Institute for Extraterrestrial Physics. She is a member of the software and operations team for the eROSITA mission and was formerly associated with the XMM-Newton Survey Science Centre (SSC) team and its calibration activities.

Research interests:

• Compact objects mainly neutron stars, X-ray pulsars, as well as supernova remnants using multi-wavelength tools
• Source population studies of nearby galaxies especially the Magellanic Clouds
• Variability studies of the transient X-ray sky
